Finally… Thank you for the music

Thank+You+For+The+Music+pngMonths and months ago I asked you all for some recommendations for some great music that I should buy with an iTunes voucher I had. It sparked a lot of debate and I got a lot of different opinions from people – mainly around Mumford and Sons. Anyway, I’ve finally got round to checking all the results and purchasing the music.

So, the winners are: … drumroll please…

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes

Some Cities by Doves

and of course…

Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions and I’ll listen (and hopefully love) these albums now.

Good man. The new M&S album is just as good too!

Now I know that you are not one to receive praise comfortably but felt that I had to send you a note. After reading your blog, detailing your most impressive achievements at Windermere last year(which blew me sideways by the way). I decided to read the rest of the posts. As you may well know I am giving myself the goal of running a marathon for the first time at the age of 40. Your blog has really helped. Yes I know it’s about swimming but I also know its about the journey and I can’t tell you how much it’s helped. I actually couldnt stop reading i am going to recommend this blog to as many people as I can and tell them that I know the bloke who writes this and he’s my mate. So Thanks.

    • Ed, thanks for that, that’s great to hear. I started writing it mainly as a way to keep me motivated, to make my goals public and therefore to keep me motivated. I surprised myself by actually completing it all last year though.

Have you actually signed up for a specific marathon? I’d love to hear more about it all and how you’re getting on with your training.

Good luck with it all and tell me more…
